Blake Hall Wedding Photography August 2014: On Thursday I photographed this wedding for Laura and Luke at Blake Hall (www.blakehall.co.uk) in Ongar, Essex where I am a recommended supplier.

I arrived at the brides home on the morning of the wedding where all the girls were getting ready.

I then left for the All Saints church in Upminster where I met up with the groom.

It wasn’t long before the bridal party arrived and the ceremony took place.

We then made the journey to Blake Hall.

The couple arrived in a camper van and Austin from Blake Hall was there to great them.

As the weather forecast was a bit unpredictable we headed straight to the gardens for the wedding portraits.

The bridal party then met us in the rose garden for a couple of formal photographs.

After lots of candid photographs and the family group shots I had one last photograph to take before everyone headed inside to have their meal.

After the speeches we took a wander down the drive way for some fun shots with the bridal party.

I then managed to capture some evening sunset shots with very dramatic skies.

I had a lovely day with Laura and Luke, and left them to party the night away. The evenings entertainment was provided by DJ Ian Scott (www.djianscott.com).

Blake Hall Photography August 2014: On Sunday I photographed this wedding for Alex and Paul which took place at Blake Hall (www.blakehall.co.uk) in Essex where I am a recommended supplier.

I arrived at Blake Hall on a lovely sunny morning where the bride and girls were getting ready in the cottage.

The make was being done by Celina Keywood (www.makeupbycelina.co.uk) and the hair by Michelle Walker, (www.michellewalkerhair.co.uk). I was also working alongside videographer Steve from Simply Wedding Movies (www.simplyweddingmovies.co.uk).

I then took the short journey to the church in Coopersale and met up with the Groom.

It wasn’t long before the bride arrived, escorted by her brother.

After the ceremony I took lots of candid shots of the guests greeting the couple before taking the confetti shots.

We then headed back to Blake Hall, and the guests travelled by a route-master London bus.

We went to the private gardens at Blake Hall for the romantic wedding portrait shoot.

The flower beds are looking lovely at the moment.

The bridal party then met us for a few photographs in the rose garden.

After some family group photographs and many more candid guest shots it was almost time for the meal. We just had to do the big group shot.

After the speeches it was time to cut the cake and for the couple to have their first dance.

Musician, pianist and vocalist Danny Mills (www.danielmills.co.uk) who had been entertaining the guests during the meal by playing requests, was also part of the main band in the evening which I believe are called ‘The Danny Mills Band’.

Blake Hall Wedding Photography 03-04-15: On Good Friday I photographed this wedding for Emily and Phil at Blake Hall (www.blakehall.co.uk) in Essex, where I am a recommended photographer.

I arrived on a drizzly morning and headed straight to the old coach house where the bridal party were getting ready. The hair was being done by Michelle Smith (www.facebook.com/hairbymichellesmith) and the makeup by Amanda Scruby (www.asbridalmakeup.co.uk).

The old coach house is great location for the getting ready shots.

The flowers were by The Flower Mill (www.theflowermillessex.co.uk) who I know well as they are also recommended at Blake Hall.  The flowers were absolutely stunning!

It wasn’t long before the groom arrived and I caught up with him and his groomsmen and I was pleased to find it had stopped raining.

The chair covers were by Exquisite Wedding and Event Services (www.exquisiteweddingandeventservices.co.uk).

We then took the short walk from the cottage to the barn where the ceremony was due to take place.

After the ceremony the drinks reception took place outside and I took lots of candid guest photographs.

I then took the couple for their special photographs utilising the grounds at Blake Hall which look great all year round!

The bridal party then met us for some photographs in the rose garden before we headed back and took a couple more group photographs.

It was then time for the wedding breakfast followed by the speeches.

After the meal I took the chaps out for one last photograph – the walking shot or reservoir dogs shot, before the cake cutting and the first dance.

The evenings entertainment and DJ was award winning Terry Lewis (www.djterryjlewis.com)

The couple also had an OMG Photobooth (www.omg-entertainments.co.uk).

I had a great time photographing Emily and Phil’s special day and look forward to shooting at Blake Hall again soon.

Blake Hall Wedding Photography 04-04-15: On Saturday I photographed Alison and David’s wedding at Blake Hall (www.blakehall.co.uk) in Chipping Ongar, Essex, where I am a recommended photographer.

It was another rainy morning when I arrived at Blake Hall and the bride was getting ready in the Old Coach House. The make-up was being done by Jodie (www.facebook.com/JodieElizabethMua) As the couple had 140 guests during the day they had my two photographer service. Steve was assisting me for the day.

For the second day running I bumped into the florist from The Flower Mill (www.theflowermillessex.co.uk) who were setting up some amazing displays. It wasn’t long before the rain cleared.

There was also a videographer recording the day and I was pleased to see it was Anthony from Spotlight Weddings (www.spotlightweddings.co.uk) who I’ve worked alongside many times.

As the weather was mixed the ceremony took place inside the barn.

We had the group shots straight after the ceremony as it enabled the team at Blake Hall to quickly transform the barn from the ceremony room to the dining room.

After the groups, we headed to the gardens for some romantic photographs.

The bridal party then met us in the Rose Garden for a few more photographs.

It was then time for the wedding breakfast followed by the speeches.

After the cutting of their cake the couple then headed onto the dance floor for their first dance.

I had a great time photographing Alison and David’s wedding and it was great to work alongside the team at Blake Hall.

Blake Hall Wedding Photography 17-04-15: Yesterday I photographed Vicky and Stu’s wedding which took place at Blake Hall (www.blakehall.co.uk) in Chipping Ongar, Essex where I am a recommended photographer.

I arrived a couple of hours before the ceremony where the bridal party were getting ready in the Old Coach House.

The flowers were lovely and very unique, especially the button holes.

I met up with the groom and grooms-men before the ceremony for a few photographs.

The weather was perfect for an outdoor ceremony!

After lots of candid guest shots I then took the couple around the gardens at Blake Hall for their romantic shoot. The spring flowers were still blooming and also the blossom was on some of the trees.

After a few family group photographs I then took the big aerial group photograph with all the guests. They then headed inside for the wedding meal.

After the meal it was time for the speeches, I also captured lots of guest reactions too.

The evening guests arrived and then the couple cut their wedding cake.

There was a live band playing, it was The Kicks (www.kicksband.co.uk) who I’ve seen a few times before at weddings. They do sound great and the guests were really enjoying their set.

It was time for the first dance.

I had a lovely time capturing Vicky and Stu’s wedding day and took one last shot for them.

Blake Hall Wedding Photography-02-05-15: Yesterday I photographed Natalie and Dave’s wedding at Blake Hall (www.blakehall.co.uk) in Essex. I am a recommended photographer at Blake Hall and it always feels like home when I return.

I arrived on the morning of the wedding to capture the getting ready shots in the Old Coach House.

The bride had a lovely colour scheme of dark reds and purples in her flowers and table decorations provided by The Flower Mill (www.theflowermillessex.co.uk) who are also recommended by Blake Hall.

The grounds at Blake Hall always look fantastic and are constantly changing through-out the season. The red tulips matched the brides colour scheme.

I met up with the groom, his best man and his usher for a few photographs outside the main barn.

After a few photographs of the bridal party it was time to head to the outdoor ceremony.

After some candid guest shots I then took the couple for their walk around the gardens at Blake Hall. The blossom was in full bloom.

We then had the formal group photographs, and then a big aerial group shot (thanks for the use of the ladder Austin!).

The barn looked great and everyone headed in for the meal followed by the speeches.

Unfortunately there wasn’t a sunset, but I did take the couple for one last evening shot.

It was time for the cake cutting followed by the first dance. The cake had amazing detail and was supplied by Natalie Porter from Immaculate Confections (www.immaculateconfections.co.uk).

SPJ Event Specialists (www.spjuk.com) were running the disco, music and had also been the informal compère throughout the day. There lighting was great, especially for the first dance!

I had a great day shooting Natalie and Dave’s wedding!

Blake Hall Wedding Photography 08-05-15: On Friday I photographed this wedding for Laura and Will, which took place at a church in Woodford Green and then Blake Hall (www.blakehall.co.uk) where I am a recommended photographer.

As this was quite a large wedding the couple booked my two photographer service. I had Steve helping me and he went to meet up with the groom and guys getting ready. I went to the brides home for the bridal preparations.

The shot below was a recreation of their “Timehop” profile photo from 7 years ago.

The groom and the guys were also getting ready.

It was then time for the ceremony and the bride arrived in a beautiful Rolls Royce Phantom VI State limousine Landaulette and the bridesmaids in a Daimler DS420 Landaulette driven by the Park Ward Carriage Company (www.parkwardcarriagecompany.co.uk).

Also along side me filming the day was James from HNE Media (www.hnemedia.co.uk) who I work with regularly.

There was a slight shower after the ceremony and we all headed to Blake Hall for the drinks reception.

As time was quite tight we headed straight through to the gardens for some special photographs.

I captured the family group photographs and lots of candids too.

Harry Martin was entertaining the guests with his singing – he sings the all time greats.

There was a homemade photobooth… the groom’s handy work! I thought it was a great idea and got some shots too.

It was then time for the wedding breakfast followed by the speeches and the rain returned.

We had enough light for a couple more shots outside before the cake and the first dance.

I had a lovely time photographing Laura and Will’s day, and it was fun working alongside so many great wedding associates too.

Blake Hall Wedding Photography 15-05-15: On Friday I photographed this wedding for Lucy and Will at the lovely Blake Hall wedding venue (Blake Hall Wedding Venue) in Essex where I am a recommended photographer.

I arrived on the morning of the wedding at Blake Hall, the sun was shining and the skies were blue with occasional clouds.

I met up with the girls who were all getting ready in the Coach House with Beautiful You doing the make-up (www.beautiful-you.biz) and hair by Gail Gardner (www.gailgardner.co.uk).

It wasn’t long before the groom arrived, and I captured some shots of them and the rings.

We then had to make our way to the outdoor ceremony in the Saddlery.

The flowers were put together by Halo Blossom (Halo Blossom Flowers).

After the ceremony we took a walk around the gardens and had some photographs along the way.

The bridal party met up with us in the Rose Garden for a few formal photographs.

After a few family photographs it was time for the speeches followed by the wedding meal.

There was some beautiful evening light and the couple were happy to have a couple more photographs.

It was then time for the cutting of the cake and the first dance. The cupcakes looked lovely!

The Photographic Lounge were providing the photobooth and everyone seemed to be having fun!

I had a great time with Lucy and Will and there was time for one more photograph before I left.

Blake Hall Wedding Photography 16-05-15: On Saturday I photographed Cheryl and Mathew’s wedding at Blake Hall (www.blakehall.co.uk) in Ongar, Essex where I am a recommended wedding supplier.

I arrived at Blake Hall on the morning of the wedding, it was a bit overcast but the forecast was for sunny spells later in the day. I met up with the girls who were getting ready in the Old Coach House.

It wasn’t long before the groom and the guys arrived.

Right on cue the sun came out and we all headed for the outdoor ceremony.

After some candid guest shots and some quick refreshments, I took the couple around the gardens at Blake Hall. The gardens are beautiful all year round, and they didn’t disappoint us.

The bridal party met us in the Rose Garden for a few formal photographs and then we returned to the barn garden.

After some family group photographs, it was then time for us to head in for the wedding meal followed by the speeches.

One of the grooms relatives had a special surprise and played the bagpipes for them.

As the evening light was perfect, I took the couple for a few more photographs.

They also asked if they could have some fun shots with the guys and the girls.

It was then time for the cake and the first dance.

The evening’s entertainment was provided by Harry Kilb Wedding DJ (www.harrykilbweddingdj.co.uk).

Halfway through the first dance, the recorded jumped into a party number and everyone joined in!

I had a really fun day with Cheryl and Mathew, they made me smile so much through-out, it’s usually the other way round :-)

Blake Hall Wedding Photography September 2015: On Saturday I photographed Natalie and Simon’s wedding at Blake Hall (www.blakehall.co.uk) in Ongar, Essex where I am a recommended wedding photographer.

I arrived at Blake Hall on a very sunny morning, where the bridal party were getting ready in the Old Coach House.

The flowers were provided by The Flower Mill (www.theflowermillessex.co.uk).

I then went on to St Mary’s Church in Theydon Bois where the ceremony was due to take place.

It wasn’t long before the bride arrived and we went in for the ceremony.

After a few photographs at the church we went to Blake Hall for the wedding reception and the sun continued to shine!

After some romantic photographs utilising the gorgeous gardens at Blake Hall, we then had some formal group photographs.

It was then time for the wedding breakfast followed by the speeches.

My spotters were out and we took advantage of the lovely sunset looking out across the paddock, thanks Austin!

After the cutting of the cake, the couple had their first dance which was played by the band (www.beerpressure.co.uk) who sounded amazing and really got the party going!

I had a lovely day with Natalie and Simon, and as always the team at Blake Hall really looked after everyone!

Blake Hall Wedding Photography 2016: Yesterday I photographed Danielle and Dean’s wedding at the gorgeous Blake Hall wedding venue in Essex (http://www.blakehall.co.uk/) where I am a recommended wedding supplier.

I arrived on a rainy morning at Blake Hall where the girls were getting ready in the Old Coach House. It didn’t last long and the sun was soon trying to break through.

I then went on to the church, St Martins Church in Ongar (http://www.stmartinongar.org.uk/) where the groom was waiting and the guests were arriving.

The bride arrived and we headed in for the wedding ceremony.

I was able to get a couple of photographs from the front of the church of the bride arriving and then had to take the rest from the back.

I was working alongside Red Carpet Video for the day (http://redcarpetvideo.co.uk/).

We then took the short journey to Blake Hall and its stunning private gardens.

Everyone loves a “Selfie”!

We then took a wander around the gardens for the couple’s wedding portraits.

The bridal party met us in the rose garden for a few group photographs.

After a few group photographs we headed into the barn for the wedding breakfast followed by the speeches.

After the meal we took a few more photographs in the evening light.

The couple then cut their cake and had their first dance.

Their close friend Noel sang the first dance for them.

It felt like a perfect day with Danielle and Dean, and it was great working with Austin and the team at Blake Hall.

Blake Hall Wedding Photography July 2016: On Saturday I photographed Daniella and Jason’s wedding at Blake Hall (http://www.blakehall.co.uk/) in Ongar, Essex where I am a recommended wedding supplier.

I arrived at the Old Coach House at Blake Hall where the bridal party were getting ready and Victoria Taylor (http://www.victoriataylor.co.uk/) were doing the make-up.

The flowers were by Halo Blossom (http://www.haloblossom.co.uk/) and looked gorgeous.

The groom and best man were just sorting out a few final details in the barn before going on to the church, so I grabbed them for a couple of photographs.

It was time for the wedding ceremony which took place at St Germain’s Church in Bobbingworth, just outside the Blake Hall Estate.

After a few shots at the church we all headed back to Blake Hall for the drinks reception.

While we were waiting for all of the guests to return from the church, it was good opportunity to take the bride and groom for their wedding portraits using the beautiful gardens of Blake Hall.

We then met the bridal party in the Rose Garden for a few formal photographs.

After a few family photographs and some candids it was time for the wedding breakfast followed by the speeches.

As there was some nice evening light we had a couple of photographs in the barley field (I should mention that no barley was trampled on to take these shots, we used the tractor lines!).

After the couple cut their wedding they then had their first dance played in by a great wedding band called The Cassettes (http://www.thecassettes.co.uk/).

I had a fantastic day with Daniella and Jason, it was also great to work alongside the team at Blake Hall!

Wedding Photography Blake Hall August 2016: On Thursday I photographed Emma and James’ wedding at Blake Hall (http://www.blakehall.co.uk/) in Essex where I am privileged to be a recommended wedding supplier.

I arrived at Blake Hall on the morning of the wedding as the bride and bridesmaids were getting ready in the Old Coach House. It was light rain when I got there, but the forecast was to brighten up during the day.

As it stopped raining, we had a few photographs in the garden.

I then took the journey to St Thomas of Canterbury Church in Brentwood, Essex where the groom was awaiting his bride. My good friend James from HNE Media (http://www.hnemedia.co.uk/weddings/) was shooting the wedding video.

After a few photographs outside the church, we took the journey back to Blake Hall in Ongar, Essex.

I took the couple for their wedding portraits as soon we got to Blake Hall, while the rest of the wedding guests arrived.

After lots of candid shots and some family group photographs, it was time for the wedding breakfast.

After the speeches and a bit time welcoming their evening guests, the couple cut their wedding cake.

Lovelight Entertainment (http://lovelightentertainment.co.uk/) who I happily recommend, were providing the sound and backdrop for the first dance. It looked amazing!

There was just one more photograph we wanted to capture!

I had a lovely time with Emma and James, and it was great to work alongside Austin and the team at Blake Hall, as well as James the videographer.

Blake Hall Wedding Photography May 2017: On Sunday I photographed Rachael and Jonathan’s wedding which took place at Blake Hall (http://www.blakehall.net) in Essex where I am privileged to be a recommended supplier.

I arrived at Blake Hall on the morning of the wedding, it was slightly overcast with sunny spells. I was working alongside my good friend Steve from Simply Wedding Movies (http://www.simplyweddingmovies.co.uk) and Mark his assistant.

I was also working alongside the friendly faces of Sara and Kirsty from Bespoke Occasions (https://www.bespoke-occasions.co.uk) who were doing hair and makeup.

The flowers were by Karen from The Flower Mill (https://theflowermillessex.co.uk), again who I work with quite often.

It wasn’t long before Jonathan the groom arrived.

Rachael the bride was in her dress and it was almost time for the ceremony.

The Jewish wedding ceremony was taking place outside under the Chuppah which beautifully decorated with flowers.

After the ceremony we went for a quick wander around the amazing gardens at Blake Hall for the wedding portraits.

We found a lovely spot where the wild flowers are growing and the light was just right.

We then went back to the barn gardens for the drinks reception and some family photographs.

We had the big group photograph just before everyone headed in for the meal lovingly prepared by Dave and the caterers. A big thank you to Austin for supporting the step ladder and letting me borrow it of course!

After the meal and speeches, we took the couple out for a few more photographs as the evening light at Blake Hall is beautiful.

The couple cut their wedding cake and had their first dance.

Then there was some traditional Jewish dancing and music by the live band. It really was a great atmosphere.

There was also an opportunity for a sunset shot! I had a great time with Rachael and Jonathan, as well as working with some fabulous wedding suppliers!

Wedding Photography Blake Hall June 2017: On Friday I photographed Carly and David’s wedding at Blake Hall (http://www.blakehall.net/) near Ongar in Essex where I am a recommended wedding supplier.

I arrived at Blake Hall on a sunny morning and the bridal party where getting ready in the coach house.

The groom arrived and we got some photographs.

It was time for the dress!

The ceremony was taking place in the Hay Barn which has recently been converted. It looks amazing!

Every then headed outside for the drinks reception in the barn gardens.

I took the couple for their wedding portraits using the beautiful gardens.

I then took lots of candid guest shots and some formal groups.

Everyone then headed into the Essex Barn for the meal and speeches.

After the meal we had a couple more photographs.

I had a lovely time with Carly and David, and we were lucky enough to get this sunset photograph.

Blake Hall Wedding Photography July 2017: On Saturday I photographed Kim and James’ wedding at Blake Hall (http://www.blakehall.net/) where I am proud to be a recommended wedding supplier.

The bride and bridal party was getting ready at Blake Hall, in the Old Coach House. I was working alongside Matt from 3 Cheers Media (http://3cheersmedia.com/) who was capturing the wedding video and was very easy to work with. My aim is to capture the real smiles and moment, the natural style and to tell the story of the wedding through my photography.

The groom and groomsmen were getting ready at The Ongar Bell Guesthouse (http://www.theongarbell.com/) which is very near to Blake Hall.

The wedding ceremony took place at St Mary the Virgin Church in Matching (http://thelaversandmatchingchurches.org.uk/matching.php), about 15 minutes away.

The wedding party arrived at Blake Hall for the drinks reception.

Blake Hall has the perfect locations for the wedding portraits.

We had some family group photographs before heading in for the meal and speeches.

Captain America made a rare personal appearance for the couple.

It was then time for the cutting of the cake followed by the first dance.

I had a great time photographing Kim and James’ big day and there was just an opportunity to get a dramatic sunset photograph.

Wedding Photography Blake Hall July 2017: On Friday I was at Blake Hall (http://www.blakehall.net/) in Ongar, Essex to photograph Michelle and Gavin’s wedding.

The bride was getting ready in the Old Coach House with her bridesmaids.

The groom and his grooms men arrived.

The ceremony took place outside, in front of the Saddlery.

There was a very special surprise of a dove release.

After some candid shots, I took the couple to the gardens for their wedding portraits.

Then it was back to the drinks reception for the family group photographs.

The meal was taking place in the Essex Barn and the lanterns were a lovely touch!

After the speeches the couple cut their wedding cake and had their first dance.

There was an opportunity for a dramatic, sunset shot. I had a lovely day with Michelle and Gavin, and it was a pleasure to work with Austin, Dave and the team at Blake Hall.

Blake Hall Photography Summer Weddings: On Saturday I photographed Nikki and Kevin’s wedding at All Saints Church, Chigwell Row and Blake Hall (https://www.blakehall.net/) near Ongar, Essex. Thunderstorms and heavy rain were forecast.

I arrived at the brides home to capture the getting ready moments. I was lucky to work with Sam from Beautiful You (http://www.beautiful-you.biz/) was doing the make up and Georgina Walker Hair Stylist (http://www.georginawalkerhairstylist.co.uk/) was doing the hair. The flowers were done by Karen at The Flower Mill (https://theflowermillessex.co.uk/).

I then made the short journey to All Saints Church Chigwell Row (https://www.allsaintschigwellrow.org.uk/) and met up with the groom and grooms men. It was starting to rain a little.

After the ceremony the rain had disappeared and it was brightening up.

We then headed to Blake Hall for the wedding reception and is the perfect wedding venue and setting for photographs.

After some family group photographs and lots of candids, it was time for the wedding breakfast. Terry Lewis (http://www.djterryjlewis.com/) was the MC and DJ for the day. He was amazing especially for helping round up the guests for the photographs.

After the meal and speeches, I had a few shots to take with the groomsmen as the rain outside the church had prevented these.

The couple then cut their cake and had their first dance.

There was also an opportunity to get a sunset photograph. I had a great time with Nikki and Kevin, along with all the suppliers I worked with on the day and a special thanks to Austin, Dave and the team at Blake Hall for making it such an amazing day!

Wedding Photography at Blake Hall in Essex August 2017: On Saturday I photographed Kelly and Greg’s summer wedding at Blake Hall (https://www.blakehall.net/) in Ongar, Essex. The forecast was for dry and overcast, with possible sunny spells.

I shoot a mix of styles on a wedding, mainly natural looking photography as well as some posed shots (groups and wedding portraits) and all the finer details. For most of the day I am looking for those candid moments, and genuine smiles are important to me as they show the real emotion from the day. I try to blend into the background as much as I can as it enables me to capture the natural moments unfolding. The bridal party were getting ready in the Old Coach House. I was working alongside Ben the videographer from HNE Media (http://www.hnemedia.co.uk/) who I’ve worked with many times before.

The groom and his best man arrived along with some of the guests.

The couple and their children took a wander around the gardens and we took some photographs along the way.

After a few family group photographs it was time for some confetti and then the meal was served.

Tony Steward (http://www.thecompleteweddingmagician.co.uk/) was performing magic for everyone during the reception.

The evening kicked off with the cutting of the wedding cake followed by the first dance.

There was also an opportunity to get a beautiful sunset with the couple. I had a great day with Kelly and Greg, and I hope I managed to tell the story of their day. It was lovely working alongside Ben, Tony, and also Austin and the team at Blake Hall.

Blake Hall Wedding Photography September 2017: On Thursday I photographed Danielle and Craig’s wedding at Blake Hall (https://www.blakehall.net/) in Essex, where I am very proud to be a recommended supplier.

I arrived at Blake Hall on the morning of the wedding and although it was cloudy, the sun kept breaking through. As well as capturing the usual wedding photographs, I also capture the natural and candid moments as they happen as I feel these really do tell the story of the day.

The bride and bridesmaids were all getting ready in the Old Coach House.

The groom and his groomsmen arrived and we grabbed a few photographs.

It was then time for the wedding ceremony which was taking place outside, using the Saddlery.

During the drinks reception the couple went for their walk around the gardens and we took some photographs along the way.

There was also an opportunity to get a sunset photograph. I had an amazing day with Danielle and Craig, and I was so pleased they asked me to be their wedding photographer!
